If there are two things you have picked up about me from reading this blog it should be 1. I love trying new products and 2. I’m a sucker for a good face mist!
A few months ago I was in Ulta and came across the Tony Moly Fresh Water Soothing Mist. As a lover of facial mists and soothing/hydrating products I couldn’t resist buying this. I’ve tried other Tony Moly products in the past, the most popular being the I’m Real sheet masks (which are just okay in my opinion) so I never thought to venture outside and hunt for more TM products, but I must say I was very impressed by this soothing mist.
According to the product details, this is a facial mist containing 94% DamYang Province Bamboo extract which is rich in minerals and amino acids which help hydrate and soothe the skin.
The TM Bamboo Water can be used at any time of the day but is great for relaxing the skin on a hot summer day.
This is especially good for those of us with sensitive skin.
I personally have been using this as a pre toner and a touch up spray. I like for all my products to properly sink into my skin (for hydration purposes), so this prep step is necessary for me. TM suggests patting this in for better absorption. I also like to use it throughout the day If I’ve been inside too long and need to refresh my face before leaving out the house.
The TM facial mist has a very light scent. It smells fresh as its name suggest and has a water consistency to it. This is my first time using a product with Bamboo water, so I was expecting it to be a little thicker like Aloe – but the water consistency is fine with me considering it doesn’t just sit on the skin.
I’ve been using this mist for a little over two months now and I really like it and how I use it in my routine, but I’ll be honest and say the days I skip using it, I don’t see much of a difference in my skins appearance. (This also may be due to the fact that I have lots of good products that my skin loves).
I will say this spray does give you a nice glow, which proves that the properties used to refresh your skin are definitely in effect. I think I’ll bring this back out more when the Texas summer starts to hit.
Unfortunately TM doesn’t sell this mist anymore. (I purchased the last bottles that were available at my local Ulta), but they do still continue to sell the Bamboo Clear Water Fresh Toner which is the same in function but has 96% Bamboo Water instead.
