This post is going to be short, I promise

A few months ago, I told you all that I wanted to try a Vitamin C serum and I was really excited to try the Timeless serum as I read it was the best alternative for another popular brand.

If you’re unfamiliar with Vitamin C serums, I talk more about it here, but I was particularly looking to use this serum to help in the process of fading my acne scars.

Well, I didn’t get that far because to be honest, I won’t be using this serum again.

I held off on using it for a while because I was trying to find a way to incorporate it into my current routine. I used it one night and was really impressed the next morning with how clear and bright my skin looked. I thought I had a winner, UNTIL I used it a few nights before taking a trip to Atlanta and I woke up with serious breakouts.

I was devastated!

I was hoping that this would brighten my skin like it once had and would help prime my skin for my makeup application for the weekend, and I ended up not being able to wear an ounce of makeup that weekend. In the three days I had to make a fix before my trip, I literally tried everything to clear my skin and nothing worked. I ended up with some cystic acne and that’s when I vowed that I would never use this again.

A few days ago, I got the urge to try it again before writing this, just to see if I’d have a different experience but I just couldn’t risk it. I’m realizing that when my skin is doing well, I shouldn’t shake the table and use something again that broke me out.

I want to caveat this however with saying, If you want to try this, do it. Skincare products work different on everyone and there are some good reviews about this serum, it just didn’t work for me.

So now, I’m on the hunt for a new Vitamin C serum to use. Any suggestions? Drop them below!
