This post is a bit late, I know but I purchased some products at the end of February and was patiently waiting for them to arrive.

Some of the products I purchased are tried and true favs, others are some newbies that I’d been wanting to try and decided to jump on the bandwagon.

I’m going to try to keep this short (probably won’t lol), so let’s jump right in!

If there are two things you have picked up about me from reading this blog it should be 1. I love trying new products and 2. I’m a sucker for a good face mist!

A few months ago I was in Ulta and came across the Tony Moly Fresh Water Soothing Mist. As a lover of facial mists and soothing/hydrating products I couldn’t resist buying this. I’ve tried other Tony Moly products in the past, the most popular being the I’m Real sheet masks (which are just okay in my opinion) so I never thought to venture outside and hunt for more TM products, but I must say I was very impressed by this soothing mist.

According to the product details, this is a facial mist containing 94% DamYang Province Bamboo extract which is rich in minerals and amino acids which help hydrate and soothe the skin.

The other day I went to Whole Foods for one thing (Alkaline water) and found myself down their beauty aisle. I may be a little late to the game but, I didn’t know that Whole Foods had such a large selection of hair care, body care, skin care and perfume products. When I initially when in for water, I ended up down the beauty aisle picking up only one other thing, the 365 Everyday Value Nourishing Grapeseed Oil.

Grapeseed oil is a staple in both my body and skin care routine. A few years back I gave up using lotion completely (I plan to do a dedicated post on this) and for a while I was using Almond Oil until I read about Grapeseed Oil being a lighter yet more moisturizing oil. I also credit Grapeseed oil for keeping my skin clear. I currently use the NOW brand 100% sensitive skin care Grapeseed oil but after I picked up the Whole Foods brand, not anymore!

So we all know that packing to travel can be a bit of a hassle, but packing your makeup to travel… my god is it painful. Just think about your makeup collection and now think about having to decide what to pack every time you travel. You literally have to decide what you want your face to look like for 3+ days and pack just that, no getting creative, no variety because it’s a must to pack smart.

Lucky for me, I have perfected my everyday “makeup, no makeup” look which usually helps me pack light whenever it’s time to pick up and go. In my attempts to de-clutter at the top of the year, I decided while organizing my makeup that I would pre pack my travel bag, that way it would always be ready and if needed. I could just swap out a few products depending on how I was feeling.

What helped me keep everything condensed, was using the pink bubble zip bag I received when I ordered some Glossier products last year. Using a small bag is ideal because it really forces you to get picky and tricks you into packing only what you need.

So here’s what’s in my travel makeup bag:

Lately I have been trying out a lot of different lip combos AKA different variations of Nudes and Mauves but have been desperately wanting to start wearing a red lip more often. My favorite person in the world (Kahlana Barfield Brown) wears a red lip all the time, it’s her signature and because I aspire to be her / have a similar skin complexion, I started to get it out of my head that a red lip doesn’t look good on me.

Winter is here and my skin has been going through it! I moved to a new state not long ago and while my skin is typically it’s best in the winter, this year that hasn’t been the case. I’ve been experiencing dehydration, flakiness and breakouts and it’s annoying!

But before winter hit, there were a few products I was using that became some of my favs, are now empty and that I need so desperately to repurchase.
