This weekend I went to the mall for no apparent reason (I actually never need a reason, tbh) and picked up a few new things I’ve been wanting to try. I’ve been on the search for more sheet masks as well as eye masks (because girl, tired) so hopefully some of these masks help.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and if you like them!

Lately I have been loving the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils! I first tried these when Sephora chose the Cruella and Rikugien duo for it’s free birthday gift and I have been pretty hooked ever since. These velvet matte lipstick pencils apply so easy, they’re small which means they are great for travel, and are surprisingly very long lasting. Today I wore Cruella, I applied it at around 12pm, went to eat at 4pm, took a a nap at about 5pm and when I woke up an hour later the lip pencil was still in place! So that should give you an idea of how long you can wear this lippie without having to completely reapply.

I recently added a new shade to my little collection. I was listening to Myleik Teele’s podcast, My Taught You and she had one of my favorite people in the world (my BFF in my head) Kahalana Barfield- Brown on the podcast. If you don’t know who Kahlana is we can’t be friends, like seriously! Kahlana is the Beauty Editor-at-Large at InStyle Magazine, she’s also one of the most stylish people I have ever seen, and she gives me so much inspiration when I’m trying to think outside the fashion box. But Kahlana is also pretty known for her signature red lip.

paddywax candles, apothecary, rosemary , sea salt

The other day my co-workers and I were on the way to pick up lunch and had some time to spare so I had to stop in Retro Metro – this super cool speciality item shop in Frederick, MD – to pick up a few of my favorite candles.

If you’re reading this and know me well, then you know I keep candles all around my apartment. Candles are so soothing, they help calm you, clean the air in your space, and sleep better at night. I especially love to light candles – these Rosemary & Sea Salt ones specifically – when I am taking a Lavender and Epson Salt bath. I will line the bathtub with these and the warm water mixed with this amazing scent relaxes me and sometimes put me right to sleep!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

A few weeks ago I was visiting one of my friends in NYC / New Jersey and because I have to go to a mall wherever I go, we decided to go and one of our last stops was The Body Shop.

I never shop at The Body Shop. I typically like to keep the products I use on my body simple and scent free. I use oils like Grapeseed, Almond, and Coconut to moisturize my body and face so going to The Body Shop wasn’t on my list of places I needed to go. But my friend loves it. She buys all their body butters and several of their skincare products (which I didn’t even know they sold).
