Editor’s Note: My Jade roller looks frosty because I freeze it before use.
OK… so I finally bought a Jade roller, and it has not only changed my skin but has really helped with my anxiety as well.
I believe it was last year or even 2017 when there was major hype around Jade rolling. I mean everyone and their mom had bought a Jade roller and was raving about how it improved their skin, but I just couldn’t buy into the hype. I mean how could using this little rolling thing really clear your skin or even out your skin tone? It just didn’t make sense because all those AHAs and oils, and serums are supposed to do that, right?

If you’re looking for inexpensive skin care products that actually have the power to transform your skin, then The Ordinary is the girl you’re looking for.
I can’t remember when or how I was introduced to these products but I remember the first ones I bought were the 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil and the Hyaluronic Acid 5% + B5. I have always dealt with some form of acne and hyper-pigmentation due to acne scarring, so after a lot of research, I settled on these two to help battle the issues I was having at the time.

I wish I would have taken a before and after picture.
Last week I got the urge to purge. Maybe the start of Spring put me in the mood to start Spring cleaning – if you know me well, you know cleaning really makes me happy – but last week I was ready to get rid of almost everything. My skin care drawer was a mess, I was looking through all of my makeup thinking, why do I have so much stuff. I try to be mindful when it comes to excess. There are certain things I really love, like shoes and skincare products and will always buy, but if it’s something I haven’t used or worn in a while, I try to give it away or toss it.

So I’ve been slacking lately, but for very good reason. In a matter of a month (actually a little less than that) I accepted a new job, put in my two-weeks notice (which happened to actually be one week), packed up and moved from Maryland the Texas. So, needless to say, it’s been a stressful few weeks and I hadn’t had time to buy much let alone blog about it.

It’s been a while since I have posted here, but I’m back! I’ve been on a bit of a spending fast (which went pretty terribly) so I was trying my hardest not to purchase much in the month of September. I recently went to one of my favorite stores (Sephora), to pick up some things and I also recently got some orders in from Amazon. Perfect timing for a post!
I know you see the Fenty Beauty products front and center so lets start there! Because I hate going into stores when they are super packed, I waited until the week after the Fenty Beauty launch to stop in Sephora and pick up somethings that I saw in the 100+ tutorials I watched beforehand. Just my luck however, the darker shades were sold out at two locations but I was still able to get IQ matched so when the foundation is restocked, I will be able to purchase. I did get a sample and let me tell you… best foundation I have EVER used… EVER! I will talk more about it when I am able to purchase it and wear it more often, but all I can say is it really does look like skin.

Ok, so let’s talk about this mask!
I purchased this sample sized mask sometime in June or July when I was in NJ/NY along with a few other sample sized masks The Body Shop was offering. I have soooo many masks so a lot of them tend to sit until I want want to try something new or my skin is having a fit and I need something really specific.

A few weeks ago I was visiting one of my friends in NYC / New Jersey and because I have to go to a mall wherever I go, we decided to go and one of our last stops was The Body Shop.
I never shop at The Body Shop. I typically like to keep the products I use on my body simple and scent free. I use oils like Grapeseed, Almond, and Coconut to moisturize my body and face so going to The Body Shop wasn’t on my list of places I needed to go. But my friend loves it. She buys all their body butters and several of their skincare products (which I didn’t even know they sold).
